SCAVENGER HUNT
Discover the Westhaven neighborhood this weekend while having fun! Rain or shine, do our scavenger hunt with your family members. How does it work? Register here. Open the QUIZ and answer the different questions! There is something for everyone, the important part is to have as much fun as possible! An online event will follow: during the online event prizes will be given to participants who have answered at least 10 questions. Young or old, put your shoes on and go walk the streets of Westhaven this weekend!!!
Women on the Rise needs snowsuits for the winter!
Women on the Rise is seeking snowsuits to keep our members and their families warm this winter! We have received over 60 requests for snowsuits, ranging from babies to adults. The highest demand is for ages between 9-14, for both boys and girls.
This year we believe it is an especially important initiative: we have witnessed an influx in new membership from recent immigrants, who will be experiencing their first Canadian winter, in addition to an increased economic instability felt by most of our members since the beginning of the pandemic.
Please consider donating any warm gear you no longer need or that your kids have outgrown. Donations can be delivered to our main site at 6897 ave Somerled, on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 12-3 (please email [email protected] or phone ahead: 438-391-8108).

UrbaNature a reçu une subvention de la Croix-Rouge et du gouvernement canadien pour créer une promenade virtuelle de la falaise avec une vidéo. L’objectif est de briser l’isolement social, en particulier chez les personnes âgées et les jeunes.

The falaise st jacques is a beautiful urban wilderness we have been protecting for the past 5 years. Sauvons la falaise! has been successful and the falaise is poised to become the 7th grand park on the Island of Montreal
UrbaNature, a not for profit to teach environmental education, received a grant to create this virtual walk from the red cross and the Canadian government. The goal is to break social isolation especially in seniors and children.
