- Aug 10 – The Quebec government announced a back-to-school plan that includes masks in hallways and on school buses. Students in Grade 5 and up will be required to wear masks in hallways but not classrooms.
- July 23 – The Quebec government announced that of Aug. 3, up to 250 people allowed at indoor, outdoor public events. The 10-person limit for gatherings in private residences remains still applies.
- July 13 – Premier François Legault announced that the wearing of masks or face coverings will be mandatory in all indoor public spaces in Quebec as of Saturday July 18
- July 6 – Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante announced that by July 27, the City of Montreal will make it mandatory to wear masks in Montreal’s indoor public spaces.
- May 22 – Quebec Culture and Communications Minister Nathalie Roy announced that museums, libraries and drive-in theatres across Quebec now have the green light to reopen May 29.
- May 21 – Quebec Premier François Legault announced that day camps will open on June 22. Sleepaway camps will remain closed until the 2021 season.
- May 18 – Quebec Premier François Legault announced that Montreal-area retail businesses and daycares will reopen as planned on May 25 and June 1, respectively as Quebec’s daily reported death toll hit its lowest point since April 12. For more information on which businesses may reopen, see this article. Everyone is urged to wear a mask when out in public.
- May 8 – The STM announced in coming weeks they will be strongly encouraging public transport users to wear face masks and will be distributing free, reusable masks to the public and staff. They’re stepping up cleaning and plan to make it easier for users to use debit and credit cards to buy tickets and passes
